Dear Friend,

We are looking forward to Retreat 6, which will focus on how we experience transformation through self-knowledge, self-examination, and confession. This is a powerful retreat and we anticipate God has great things in store for us as we prepare to be together May 21-23, 2023.

Remember to bring:
  • Your Bible and journal
  • Casual, comfortable clothing with layers for adjusting to varying temperatures
  • Pillow or any other items that would help you rest well
  • Alarm clock so you can completely unplug
  • Toiletries and hair dryer (if needed)
  • Refillable container for water and/or coffee

Below you will find details and information that will help you prepare for the retreat. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Blessings,
The TC18 Ministry Community

Sunday Evening

The TC check-in table will not be ready prior to 4pm.  USML will make every effort to accommodate you if you arrive early, but we are not able to guarantee early check-in. We will gather in the dining hall at 5:30pm for dinner and conversation in small groups. When you arrive on the south side, be sure to tag in with your meal fob, then find your group and claim a table. You may start through the food line before or after a team member prays for our meal and conversation.

Please take some time before arriving to sit with the questions that Ruth sent in her last email as they provide guidance for reflection on this past quarter. See the TC18 webpage for any communications you think you might have missed!

Retreat Ends at 4pm on Tuesday

Please make sure your travel plans have taken into account the later departure. We want to make sure everyone is able to stay until the end of this retreat since the leaving service is always an important conclusion to our time together.

Your Small Group and Conveners

The conveners for this retreat are: Tyler Sterchi, Natalie Correll, Chuck Gschwend, Colleen Powell, Todd Sheaffer, Melissa Shiels, Jonathan Haley, David Bailey, Denise Hanson, Joy Bailey, Stevener Gaskin, Jesse Brown, Bethany Justice, Scott Heller, Haley Page, Amy French, Erin McDade, Candance Greene and Laura O’Neill.

The convener will act as time-keeper for the small group direction experience Monday night as well. Instructions will be given while on retreat.

Other Reminders

Papers
If you have not already done so, email your written reflections to TC18papers@transformingcenter.org by the Friday before the retreat begins. For formatting guidelines, please refer to the During the Quarter document in your folder or visit the TC18 webpage.

Absences
Remember, if you have to be absent for any retreat, email both your small group and TC18@transformingcenter.org to let everyone know so we can be aware of the things going on for you and can hold you in prayer. Also, refer to the Helpful Information document on the TC18 webpage in order to catch up with all that is needed to fulfill the requirements to earn a certificate.
